Bedlingtons are dogs that do not have many ailments, like King Charle's Spaniels, etcetera. They do not malt, which is good as this mkes them hypoallegenic, which means people with an allergy to dogs are not susceptible to them. However, the 'only' bedlington trait is Copper Toxiosis (CT). It is to do with the fact they have a lot of copper in their liver, which poisons it. Some dogs die of it. Bedlingtons get it mostly when they are whelping or ill already. It is passed on with genes.

They can also get minor ear and eye problems, such as ear mites and conjunctivitis.
