Personality

Bedlingtons are very rewarding pets, which are very affectionate and loyal. However, the are submissive and prone to being slightly shy and ary of people. When they are young, you must socialise them well, in order to stop this trait. They are by no means aggressive, but they were originally brought up as hunting dogs, and are apt to killing squirrels or pigeons. They can also become yappy, like many smaller dogs. They are very good natured, and are usually very good with children if brought up in a household with them. They are quite clever, but have to be trained to come back young, as I am always running off!

They are useful because when young they can be moulded into ether a very active bedlington, for lively owners, or just lying in the hosue asleep for maybe elderly owners. They are very good for the elderly as they are small, and can sleep on your lap in a chair and love to be stroked!
